Today we planted our tomatos and put them in walls of water, ( everyone asks us about those here.) While we were doing that, I put Electa on a blanket on the grass. Owen used to hate the feeling of grass on his feet or legs, so I figured she would like it... She quickly got onto the grass, then ever so slowly headed into the dirt. Pretty soon she was a brownish red, and then into the mud. She loved it. She was so proud of herself for figuring out that she could make more mud by pushing on the walls of water. Such a funny girl. Plus, I caught her putting more and more dirt in her mouth. She's definatly messier than Owen. Owen got a little wet this afternoon and wanted to head strait into the house to change. Electa would have been happy to play in the mud for awhile, and I was happy to watch her. She cracks me up.

Some recent happenings...
Electa is sure getting big. She's going to turn 1 in less than a week! She's sure fun. She's crawling around and standing up on everything, and loves to get into everything. But she still loves snuggling with mommy!
We bought a new faucet. Do you like it? Our old one started leaking underneath the sink( no, not a pipe, or a connector) and we could never figure out where it came from, nor could anyone else, so we ended up buying a new one. One we liked, and should last a whole lot longer. So far, I'm loving it.
I babysat my friends kids for a week. They were pretty good, but I'm rethinking having more kids. I'm not sure that I have the sanity for that!
Michael turned 31 on March 15th. I think he had a great birthday! We sure love you daddy!

I could watch them play all night!
I love, love, love this age. Both Electa and Owen seemed to hit it about the same time. 10 months. Electa loves to get into everything. She loves to play with doors, and anything she can find. Tonight it was the pots and pans. She discovered she could make some great noise by banging on the lid with a spoon, and she was so proud of her discovery. I didn't get any of her smiling, but she had a big grin a lot of the time.
And Owen played along too. He was in the other room making "pancakes" on his "stove." So cute. He is really getting into imagining things. I love it. I watched him get spices and stir the pan, turn on his stove. I could watch them play like that all night. Sweetest part of my day!
