Back to Normal! Finally!

Well, today is the day we are finally getting back to normal. Although my mom and dad have been gone for nearly a week we are only just now getting back to normal. Mike has had until today off, so we've just been enjoying the vacation time. Its nice to try and get things back to normal though. We had lots of fun on our vacation. We went to Palmyra and the Hill Cumorah pageant. We also went to Niagara Falls and then to see Gary and Jeanette in Pennsylvania. It was a lot of fun. Once we got back from that road trip we took my parents to Washington DC and to Luray Caverns. It was great. I hope they had fun.

Also on our road trip we discovered that Owen doesn't really like ice cream cones, he only likes the actual cones. He ate one from the side and when he got the ice cream out he gave the ice cream to daddy but kept on eating the cone. Weird kid.
Anyway we had a ton of fun.

Cooking

Owen loves cooking with me. I can't even make dinner without his help. If I even start to pull things out of the cupboard he pulls the chair out and pushes it so he can climb up and help. He insists on putting flour in and usually it ends up everywhere. I'm hoping to make him an apron sometime. Pretty cute huh.

Owen has also had this thing with climbling in every basket he can. He has been climbling in his toy basket and laundry baskets. It is so fun to watch him get in. He doesn't just put a leg over, he has to get down on his hands and knees and then try and put his legs over. He ends up with his legs in the basket and his head and hands still on the floor. Silly kid.

20 months and past menopause!

Today I was watching Good Morning America when the Evista commercial came on. It says "Raise your hand if you are past menopause and treating osteoporosis." Owen was sitting by me and raising his hand really high. I thought it was hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh really, really hard. Then he thought it was funny himself. Every time I think about it I can't help but giggle a little. I think things like this make being a mother worth it.

Under the Bed!

I think that Owen has been searching for little monsters under his bed. Last night we found Owen asleep under his bed. It's kind of funny to walk in his room and see little feet sticking out from under his crib/toddler bed. I wonder if he likes the little monsters that are hiding under his bed, or if somehow its more comfortabe. Who would have thouht.

My poor little Owen

Owen has been through a ton of tests, seen a ton of Dr.'s all in such a short little time. When we went to Owen's 18month check up, the Dr. noticed a little heart murmur. So, he ordered an echo cardiogram. He also wanted his hearing checked, because he thought that Owen might not be talking because he isn't hearing very well. We got both tests done this last week, and all is well. He's a healthy boy, just like we expected. Owen also went to the specialist this last week. He has to double up on his asthma medicine for awhile to see if his coughing gets better or goes away. We have to go back in another month. Its a little sad to say, but Owen has gotten pretty used to Dr's, nurses, and being poked and prodded. However many Dr's we go to, he still is very happy, and pretty healthy. He's been fascinated as of late about putting Mommy's shoes on. He's been getting pretty good at walking around in them to. He sure looks happy huh!

Swimming Pool! Just my size!

We got a little wadeing pool for Owen. I really like the size so I don't have to hold him all the time. I also like all the little toys it has for him. It's really perfect for him. He really loves it too. He likes splashing around, and getting all wet, and he loves when mommy gets in and gets all wet too.

We're finally moved in.

I can't believe that we're finally moved in and getting settled. Michael and I thank Heavenly Father every night for allowing this to happen. We can't believe that we are the "homeowners." It feels so great, but compleatly unreal. Well, here are some pics. Don't you think it's cute? One is from the outside, the view from the front door, our living room, kitchen, bedroom, and my master bathtub (My favorite part). We still have a lot of small projects that we need to do, but we don't want to go into debt to complete them, so they'll come with time. Yay! Thanks to all those who helped us move, to those who made this possible, we owe you. Thanks so much.
